Horus Music was established in 2006 and is a music service company that puts the artist first. Our aim is to guide artists towards their ambitions and help them earn an income from what they enjoy doing. The main areas we work in are music distribution, publishing, label and management.
Distribution
Horus Music offers a great bespoke distribution service to artists and companies (record labels, publishers, artist managers etc). Our distribution covers both the digit and physical market. With our direct contracts, we distribut to over 600 download, streaming and mobile music stores around the world and we can ensure that your music is obtainable anywhere. Physically we offer a number of packages that are designed to help you make money. Often many distribution companies will not take on your physical product unless you give them your digial rights, they make you jump through many hoops and will only take you on if they feel you will sell a certain number of units, however with our way of working; we can ensure the right level of service is provided to you no matter how big or small your marketing campaign.
Publishing
Publishing is not only a very important income earner for any writer; it can in some circumstances launch a career. We are working hard at Horus Music at building relationships with Music Supervisors and attend events around the world on a regular basis to ensure our relationships are strengthened and update them on the latest additions to our roster. We believe our way of working is very fair to the artist and with our new systems that are about to go live, will can ensure we will be able to go after more publishing opportunities.
Artist Management
Artist Management is a very specialist skill but something many people enjoy getting involved with regardless of level of experience or contacts. A good manager has good relationships with people around the world and is experienced in many varied aspects of your career. We believe that to manage an artist or band, a lot time needs to be dedicated to that artist, therefore at Horus Music we only manage a very small number of artists so that we can devote as much time to them as possible to them. Artist management is not just about booking gigs, its about contract negotiation, getting the best deal possible for your aritst, co-ordinating all your various partners, manging your whole marketing campaign, find you opportunities around the world, and a whole lot more.
We are not currently seeking any new artists to manage however artists that are signed to our distribution deals are able to call us for advice at any time and we are constantly out looking for opportunities for all our artists, not just the artists we manage.
Horus Records
Horus Music does offer from time to time recording and licence agreements to artists. Entering into any deal requires a huge financial investment in that artist to ensure they are given the best marketing and product possible. We don’t offer many of these deals as we believe in working hard with the acts that we do sign. We are not currently offering any recording contracts.
