The Juliana Down is a 4-piece Alternative/Rock band from The Midlands. They met while at Secondary School and developed their unique style of rock music during their time at Sixth Form College. They are all continuing their education and are either attending local universities or have places for next year.
The band perform at many venues around the country and over the past eighteen months has regularly appeared at Birmingham and London Barfly's.
In 2006 The Juliana Down have appeared at two of Birmingham's Festivals; GIGBETH which also featured highly established acts such as Dirty Pretty Things and Nizlopi and ARTSFEST 06 (the UK's largest free festival) where they played to a large crowd in Victoria Square.
The JD, as they have become known to their fans, have recently supported the highly acclaimed Mohair and release their first single "Cold" in April 2007.
In the time the band has been together they have grabbed the local alternative music scene by the throat. With great local support and interest growing rapidly around the United Kingdom, the band is set for big things. Over the coming months The JD have several single releases planned (through Horus Music) and their debut album will appear in early 2008.
The band's music reflects their experiences, thoughts and opinions. They play what inspires them and follow in nobody's footsteps.
