Latonic, originally singer Grant, guitarists Jay and Andy, bassist Stu and drummer Ally, was kick-started with The Half Life EP in Autumn 2004, a self-released five track recording. The all out adrenaline fuelled EP, described as “exuding decadence”, received great fanzine reviews and was a big hit with fans of the Glasgow band. As a result, the band signed to Horus Music in 2005.

After touring to promote Half Life, supporting bands such as Regurgitator, The*Ga*Ga*s and Deckard, Latonic went back into the studio to work on some new offerings. The result was 2006’s Turn On The Sky, the band’s debut single which made top 30 in the Indie Chart. Produced by fellow Glaswegian Chris Gordon (who has worked with El Presidente and Snow Patrol), Turn On The Sky received rave reviews and was supported by regional and national radio, boosting the Latonic fan base significantly. The single also featured a remix by electro/alt masters Union of Knives.

Following a successful UK tour including a great support with The Glitterati and Goose, and armed with new guitarist Mark, Latonic are back with their new single, Twisted Devotion, a tale of dark desire and betrayal backed up with a driving riff, dark, smooth vocals and analogue synths.

The band continues to unleash their sound on the UK, aiming to conquer its four corners and everything in between and look to release their eagerly awaited album next year. Keep your eyes open for the latest tour dates.
